Today’s headline of a local daily is about a bride filing a complaint versus her groom for ditching her at the altar and walking out of the church with another woman…
Hmmm…Ridiculous. But the complainant may have her own reasons for slapping the man she once loved (or still loves) for “damage suit for breach of promise to marry” (I wonder if there’s such a case), but she needs not humiliate herself any further. The guy left her while they were exchanging their vows. In front of the priest, he ran away with another woman. Isn’t that proof already that he really intended to leave her? Okay, moral damages or whatever damages applicable for their love affair gone awry, but if it’s gone, then let it be. Mao na’ng giingun nga, kung ayaw mo, huwag mo, dba? My suggestion to this woman, do what Christina Yang of Grey’s Anatomy did when Preston Burke left her in the altar. Yep, dance for joy! Lol.
