stop.right.now.thank.you.very.much

This afternoon after watching the delayed telecast of the Academy Awards at the office, I switched to the ANC. And it was EDSA I celebration all over it. But the only thing that was really Edsa-est there is the background song, the Magkaisa. Other than that, the EDSA people power commemoration is nothing more than a shrine, Ramos' commemorative leap (i find this really stupid!), speeches from personalities like Cory Aquino (argh!), and the already lucrative business of street demonstrations. My head is spinning.

I even stopped watching news altogether. Because it's always about Jun Lozada. I dont care if he's telling the truth, there's just no point in telling it because we will never arrive at a conclusion anyway. So what's it for? Has there been one Senate inquiry that sees an end? None. So it's useless.

If it's about people power, then let the people rule. That's what the Edsa I is all about anyway. I don't think rallies, because they too have become a livelihood to most, can even help the situation. It's already so used and abused, and the people are tired already. I say, we should all grow up together.

If you're so into this inquiry, do you know that everytime our lawmakers sit their butts in their Senate seats, they get additional "honorarium" for it? Also, by watching it so much, you're not only inviting more ads for the tv networks that play it, you're also giving Lozada and his back-up singers a chance to become the country's next senators and president. Utang buot!

By the way, this blog turned 3 yesterday. From now on, I'll stop using more Is, Mes, and Mines here. Because this blog needs to grow up too. =)

A healthy opposition is always good for effective governance. At least, they're doing something. I can't imagine what kind of things occupy their time when these senate hearings don't exist. They are certainly not making a lot of progress in law-making.

And Gloria needs people to check her. I don't know what's her deal, going around admitting stuff that are detrimental to her position.

Haaay! I'm so fed up with that edsa thingy! It's a pain in the ass! Mas lalo lang nilang dinudungisan ang imahe ng bansa natin!
