The End

************************************************************

Okay, wa siya'y lami. hahahaha...So this is Sugar Beach, Sta. Fe, Bantayan Island.

To get there, if you're from Cebu City, you take a bus to Hagnaya, San Remegio, at the Cebu North Bus Terminal. Ceres Bus is P50/head and P88 for non-airconditioned and a/c, respectively. I suggest you take the airconditioned bus bec it's a two-and-a-half ride from the terminal to Hagnaya, it's really tiring. I've tried the non-aircon on our way home, and it's very fast (the kind that gets you praying for your safety every now and then. lol), and it does not smell good too (I smelt burnt tire when I was in it last Sunday). There are hourly trips to Hagnaya, and back (I think). From Hagnaya, there are slow and fast crafts that regularly travel to and from Sta. Fe. We took Island Shipping on our way there. P145 for economy, and P150 for the first class accomodation. We took the first class of course, singko ra gud deprensya.

Cleng2x and the gang!

We got there around lunchtime. And we had lunch at a carenderia. That choice was either that or an expensive eat-all-you-can resto. We were really hungry, but we are also seriously poor. Raw fish there, however, is cheap. So the following day, we bought our own raw food, and had it cooked at the resort (at Sugar Beach, it's P30/meal). This is way cheaper than indulging in an expensive restaurant. And as expected, nagkuwang ang rice. lol!

Ogtong Cave

Except for its beautiful beaches, there are not much to see around the island. Well, except for a number of very old houses along the streets (some are not even well cared for, and it saddens my heart. char!). We knew about Ogtong Cave, so before we indulged in some tanning activity on a high noon, we opted to see this site first. It's about 5 mins from Sugar Beach by trisikad (P10/head), and P100 for entrance. The cave is the best place to while away time, well, while the sun is still hot outside. We were lucky that afternoon, bec we had the place (and the guramis) all to ourselves. No, it isn't scary. lol!

Tribu Inno

Back to our beach. The place is so huge, and there were only about 3 or 4 groups that night (the crowd only started coming the following morning). So there was more than enough space for everyone to make bonfires, sirip-sirip, try skinny dipping (lol), or whatever activity that needs space and lesser stranger. And get drunk of course. joke!

Sunrise

This side of the world doesn't have sunsets, or probably bec there was rain hours before nighttime. But it has an amazing sunrise I've ever seen. It's even on a very slow pace that gives you time to catch every change of colors that the distant sun brings to the cloud formation. We were just standing there that one Sunday morning with our cams ready to catch the sun, and even before it finally rose, my card was already full. It was just amazing. I already said that twice, and I'll say it again, it was really amazing. =)

Babay, baybay

Vacation is over. Trip back home was scheduled at 1pm, so we had to leave the place at 12 to catch our boat. This time we rode in Super Shuttle Ferry, where the P140 ticket is like an hour inside K1 KTV, well, minus the KTV. lol! There is no airconditioning unit this time, but it has couches for everyone to sleep. And we did sleep during the one-hour trip.

There is no problem in going back to Cebu City, there are buses that take everyone back there. We did not realize that at first, we even raced with other young passengers from the boat to the terminal, only to find out, after getting bumped and all, that there were actually 3 buses waiting for all of us. Pfft! It was still fun anyway. If anyone would like to see Sugar Beach, here's the number: 09217755058.

Grazie per la visita
